Canadian Interac Email Money Transfer, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

You can make payment in Canada through your online banking Electronic Funds Transfer option. You must be a member of any of the following banking institutions and have EFT options enabled with your online banking account. Simply log into your online banking account and enable EFT payments. Once your account is active, you can make payment directly to us by sending money from your bank account.

To send an Interac ® Email Money Transfer, you need an email address, a password to access your bank account online (at a participating financial institution - BMO Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Scotiabank, RBC Royal Bank, or TD Canada Trust), and the email address of the person to whom you are transferring money. Email carries the notification while the banks usesecure existing payment networks to transfer the money.

TD Canada Trust Customers (Personal Payee Direct Payment)

If you are a TD Canada trust customer, You can transfer funds from your TD Canada Trust personal account to that of another TD Canada Trust customer (a "Personal Payee") using EasyWeb under the Payments and Transfers link.

To set up and pay a Personal Payee, simply call TD EasyLine at 1-866-222-3456. To ensure your Personal Payee is set up correctly, please ensure that you have the following information:

The full name of the person you want to transfer the money to
Branch number (four digits)
Account number
Alias you want to use as a label for the Payee, which must be 1-5 alphanumeric characters, for example "u-trak" or "gps"

To make changes to an existing Personal Payee, contact TD Canada Trust at 1-866-222-3456 as outlined above.

To delete a Personal Payee, select Payments & Transfers from the top menu. Select Modify Payees from the left sub-menu, then click Delete next to the Personal Payee you wish to delete from your Payee List. Before deleting a Personal Payee from your Payee List, please delete any pending payments or recurring payments to this payee.
